Global Temperatures
Infrared temperature measurements of the bottom 15,000 feet of earth's atmosphere by NASA satellites reveal an average global temperature decrease of -0.023 oC over the past eighteen years. Though not statistically significant, this declining trend over the past eighteen years strongly suggests there is no global warming! On the other hand, the Global Climate Model predicts there should have been a large increase, as much as 0.5 oC, during the same eighteen year period. There is no basis for the call for reducing CO2 emissions by 10 percent in the next ten years as supported by the United States at the Conference of the Parties for the Global Climate Change Treaty in July, 1996.
