Here we go again. One would think that I would
cease to be surprised at the level of arrogance
mankind is capable of exhibiting. But, here I am with
my chin on my chest as I peruse the web sites so
graciously provided to the duped, oops, I mean huddled
masses by the UN. On August 28, the Millennium World
Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders will
open at the United Nations. They are hailing it as the
first gathering Aof
its kind.@
The Summit is being Aconvened
to coordinate religious and spiritual leadership as an
interfaith ally to the United Nations in its quest for
peace, global understanding and international
cooperation.@
The stated objective of the Summit is a signed
declaration for world peace.
Apparently, the United Nations does not have the
stuff needed to achieve peace, so the world=s
Areligious@
leaders are ready to step in. They are preparing to
unite under one banner within the UN through the
establishment of an ongoing International Advisory
Council of Religious and Spiritual Leaders. General
Secretary of the Summit, Bawa Jain, has stated that it
will be this group=s
Amoral
authority@
that will save the day if conflict arises.
It would be fascinating to be a fly on the wall at
the Council=s
first resolution meeting and see how someone who has
astrally projected himself elsewhere; someone who
holds to no independent reality, and someone who
thinks everyone needs to be left alone to work out
their Karma will come to an agreement as to whose
morality will prevail. I can hear it now, Awhat
are you talking about? Who=s
to say it=s
war? You have your reality, I have mine, they have
theirs, you know, I=m
not telling anybody what to do. Peace brother.@
A Hey, what=s
happening? Oh, never mind...oohhmm.@
A Hey, man will you close that window? My
incense is blowing out.@
Well, it won=t
go quite like that, but it will be interesting to see
whose brand of morality, or immorality, will prevail.
The differences in belief systems are so inexhaustible
that all we will be left with is a watered down
globalized spirituality that stands for nothing,
except centralized global control of course.
These world Aspiritual
leaders@
will sit atop their tower of Babel believing they have
within themselves the power to overcome man=s
inhumanity against man. The most eye-popping statement
written by organizers of the summit proclaims ; AIf
peace is to be attained in this new millennium, the
human community must acknowledge its spiritual
potential and recognize that it is within our power
to eradicate the worst form of human brutality B
war B as
well as one of the root causes of war B
poverty. The time is ripe for the world's spiritual
leadership to work more closely with the United
Nations in its effort to address the pressing needs of
humankind.@ (Bold
emphasis added.)
Once again, global welfare rears its ugly headCthe
root cause of war is poverty. This Aspiritual@
gathering obviously has nothing to do with the Bible
or its God. The Summit congregates=
understanding of the causes of violence and war is far
from scriptural. It is not poverty that causes war, it
is sin, sin in the heart of every human being. One of
the direct results of sin is greed. Wars are fought
because of greed, bigotry and the thirst for power,
not poverty.
This push will bring spirituality into the
forefront of the world political scene. If the agenda
of this Summit comes to fruition, it will provide a
quantum leap in the evolution of globalized religion,
and the lines between the global political powers and
spiritual will all but disappear.
As the world winds its way further and further down
the path to global government and a one-world
religion, we will find ourselves with a world-wide
spirituality where tolerance is God, and those who
hold to Jesus Christ as the only Way to only one God
the Father, (not mother), will be found hopelessly
(perhaps criminally) intolerant. Those who are not
covered in the precious blood of the spotless Lamb of
God will be lulled into complacency and ambiguity by
the gods of the age. Because they don=t
stand for anything, they will not stand at all. The
ultimate outcome of the all-encompassing world
religion is a foregone conclusion: A5And
there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things
and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to
continue forty and two months. 6And he
opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to
blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that
dwell in heaven. 7And it was given unto him
to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and
power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues,
and nations. 8And all that dwell upon the
earth shall worship him, whose names are not written
in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world. 9If any man have
an ear, let him hear.@
