    Major Moves to World Government

    G8 Promotes global governance

The Group of Eight (G8) meeting adjourned July 22 after adopting a joint communiqué which called for building a new world partnership which allows all people to benefit from globalization. The communiqué also called for "regional security" and to pave the way for "greater prosperity, deeper peace of mind and a more stable world" in the 21st century. It also called for establishing a "new partnership" with civil society, including the private sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). It heralded the brightening global economy, and stressed the need to pursue structural reforms through "appropriate" macroeconomic policies to cope with the advancing globalization and technology-led structural changes.

While the mainstream press sloughed off the G8 meeting as a non-event, it is radically apparent that the G8 meeting wasn't about solving current economic problems around the world, but in advancing the world government as noted in their communiqué. They made no effort to hide their globalist goals. Yet, the majority of the mainstream press either thought this was OK and not news, or they were blind to it. The term "partnership" as used by the globalists is nothing less than a soft word for fascism. Their version of global fascism has government and the international finance-corporate world teaming up to maximize global finance and trade while minimizing all obstacles and competition, and controlling the activities of all people of the world. They will do this using NGOs as both the spy system and the enforcement troops just as described in the UN Commission on Global Governance's report Our Global Neighborhood and the NGO document Charter 99--A Charter for Global Democracy

The way in which this is being set up gives new meaning to the warning given by Daniel in 7:23-24 "23Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise."

This new partnership between governments, the UN, and international corporations-financial entities will eventually divide the world into ten governing units (some believe Europe--though that is increasingly unlikely). This is already happening. Last year the United Nations posted a document entitled Towards a New International Financial Architecture which calls for the world to be divided up into economic governing regions, modeled after the EU. (See DTT Digest September and December, 1999 issues for more information).

China reinforces regional governance within the global community

On Thursday, July 29 Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan hailed progress in cooperation between East Asian countries, which he said was playing "a significant role in promoting regional growth and stability." Tang asserted that dialogue and cooperation between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and East Asia had also made "positive progress" in becoming more competitive in the globalization process and that regional security would increase and globalization accelerated and common interests (China's of course) increased. ASEAN is but one of the emerging economic regions of the world. Although it is still coalescing it is being loosely structured after the EU, just as desired by the UN and just as prophesied by Daniel 2 and 7 and Revelation 13 and 17.

    Fed Chaiman defends globlization

On Wednesday July 26, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan strongly defended the process of globalization before the US House Banking Committee. "The bottom line of all the evidence we can marshal is that (globalization) has been a major force in increasing living standards in the United States and around the world." Greenspan said policy-makers must "avoid like the plague" doing anything that would undermine this process because trade barriers or other government intervention in the operation of free markets would hurt the effort to boost living standards. The U.S. Federal Reserve is not a government agency, of which Greenspan is head, but a private company of the largest banks in America. It, not the government, sets economic policy by controlling the monetary supply and gold in the US. In other words, it serves as a central bank--something our founding fathers warned us to stay away from. The old saying, 'whoever controls the money controls the people,' is essentially true. We are controlled by the Federal Reserve, whose primary purpose is to make money from us by controlling us.

The Federal Reserve is but one of dozens of central banks around the world which together control the money of the world. They cooperate and make policy behind closed doors that benefit them, not the people of the world. While international trade can and has, as Greenspan said, helped the living standards of people around the world, the gains have come at a high price. International trade is not the problem. Our US Constitution is designed to handle international trade with any nation, on a one by one basis. It is the increasing control in the hands of just a few people controlling these central banks that is the horrifying cost of the present-day globalization process. It has made it possible for them to make the final step towards a world government that exists primarily for their benefit. It is no wonder that Greenspan told Congress to "avoid like the plague" anything that would undermine the globalization process that increasingly brings control to these international financiers.

Gore calls for global environmental agency

On Tuesday, August 15 Gore's top economic analyst, Laura Tyson said that Gore would work to establish a Global Environmental Agency (GEA) if elected president. "One possible way to go is to imagine the creation of a Global Environmental Organization," she said at the sparsely attended briefing. Such an agency would have the same sweeping powers over the environment that the World Trade Organization already has over international trade.

The idea did not originate with Gore. He is merely promoting the UN agenda. The Commission on Global Governance (CGG) made essentially the same recommendation in 1995. "The Trusteeship Council," recommends the CGG, "now free of its original responsibilities, [should] be given the mandate of exercising trusteeship over the global commons...[and] the administration of environmental treaties...." The Trusteeship Council is part of the UN Charter and has historically been charged with decolonizing the world. However, it now has no further colonies to decolonize. UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has said the same thing. In the Track II reform documents of Secretary General Kofi Annan said, "[the Trusteeship Council will] be reconstituted as the forum through which Member states exercise their collective trusteeship for the integrity of the global environment and common areas.... At the same time, it should serve to link the United Nations and civil society in addressing these areas of global concern."

Not surprisingly, the global commons as used by the CGG and Annan is all inclusive in UN lingo and includes the "environment and life-support systems that contribute to the support of human life" including all terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Since any human activity supposedly affects the "environment and life-support systems" of earth, the UN should regulate all human activity "collectively". When put all together, Gore's new CGG has already been well thought-out by the UN globalists and will serve, not to protect the environment, but to control the life of every single human being in the world.

    What will happen?

If we are in the end times, this feudal government-finance-industry will have absolute power only for a time. We know that God will ultimately smash it to install the perfect kingdom on earth, ruled by Jesus and His followers. As Daniel 7:26-27 states, "26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him." When that happens, according to Revelation 18:9-21: "9 the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. 11And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more.... 19And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.... 21And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

God wins, and so will those who follow Jesus Christ. Although it will be a horrifying experience of tribulation, it will be better to endure the suffering and to rule with Christ, than to have been found a follower of the global system. V
