Discerning the Times Digest and NewsBytes
Nineteenth century U.S. Senate Chaplain Everett Hale
once said, "I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything,
but I can do something. What I can do, I should do, and, with the help of
God, I will do." The same is true today. God calls each of us to
hate or abhor evil and cling to what is good (Romans 12:9).
Edmond Burke, a brilliant member of the British House
of Commons in the eighteenth century, immortalized this concept when he
proclaimed,

our knees and pray. Bringing our petitions before the throne of God is a
privilege and a gift given to us by Christ Jesus at Calvary. As a unique
and indispensable part of the body of Christ, ask that God show you what
you can do. Share this newsletter with others so they too can become
informed. Darkness cannot stand the light of truth, so learn the facts and
then share them with friends and neighbors. If you are so equipped,
download key U.S. and UN documents from our internet sites that prove your
concerns. The documentation speaks for itself.
