| In
the attack by the king of the north, Gog and Magog,
Meshech, Tubal, Gomer and Togahmah (Russia), and the
king of the south, Persia, Cush and Put (Arab
confederation), the interpretation depends on who
the "he" is in Daniel 40-45. |
- Scenario A
- ("He"
is king of the North--Russia)
|
- Scenario B
- ("He"
is the Antichrist)
|
|
- "He (king of
the North is Russia) joins with the king of the
South (Arab Nations) and overruns Israel and
kills Antichrist.
- The king of the
North turns on the king of the South and
conquers Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Libya and others.
- While in North
Africa, the king of the North hears about the resurrection
of the Antichrist and returns to Israel, where
God supernaturally destroys him.
|
- Russia and the
Arab confederation sweep in to attack Israel,
but are destroyed by God supernaturally.
- "He"
(the Antichrist) fills the power vacuum of
Russia, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Libya and others
(subdues 3 horns?).
- While in North
Africa the Antichrist hears about the salvation
of the Jews and enraged returns to Israel to
establish himself as god and to destroy the
Jews.
Scenario B best fits
the grammar of Daniel 11:36-45, since the
"He" in verse 36 is the Antichrist. |
